La’akea Hokuokekai Armitage, born on November 24, 2004, in Wailuku, Maui, HI, passed away on December 10, 2024, in Waiehu, Maui. He was a beloved son to Shenelle Voss (Sam) and Chad Armitage, and a cherished brother to Kalena, Kaulana, Ikena, Chadlin U'ilani 'Tita', Pono, and Kamaehu. La’akea was also a treasured grandson to Maile and Reginald Eaton, Robert 'Bobby' and Charmaine Armitage, and Tim and Shelley Texiera, who were his hanai grandparents.

La’akea loved the outdoors, especially hunting in the mountains, which he considered his favorite place to be. In his younger years he enjoyed sports. He loved playing football but also played baseball, basketball, soccer and wrestled. La'akea often spent time cruising with his friends, cousins, and his big brother, Kaulana. His hobbies included riding dirt bikes, quads, and his ATV Polaris, as well as playing video games.

He loved music, with a particular love for rap; Tori Lanez's song "Yes Sir" was a favorite of his. La’akea also appreciated reggae, Hawaiian, and country music. He loved hawaiian food, particularly, laulau, poi, and smoked meat, which he savored with family and friends.

His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
