K’wan Lewis, 24, passed away on November 1, 2023 in San Diego, CA. He took his own life, leaving behind a heartbroken family and community. K’wan was born on March 19, 1999 and was taken from us far too soon.

K’wan was a bright and talented young man who had a passion for singing, dancing, and cooking. He was always the life of the party and brought joy to those around him. K’wan was also a dedicated nurse and CNA, always putting others before himself. He had a heart of gold and touched the lives of many through his work in the medical field.

K’wan’s family was his pride and joy. He cherished every moment spent with his mother, Wanda, and his siblings, Savion, Lebearon, Christopher, Kiana, and Briana. K’wan was also blessed to have loving godparents, Debt and James, who were like second parents to him. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother BarbaraJean, god-grandmother Peggy, his aunts Gloria and Lamaria, and his Uncle Larry who he held close to his heart.

A viewing and funeral service will be held to celebrate K’wan’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a mental health organization in honor of K’wan. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on forever in our hearts.

Rest in peace, K’wan. You will never be forgotten.
