Khalilah’s favorite hobbies included traveling, JROTC, writting poems, and reading.
Khalilah’s favorite food consisted of various pastas and homemade food.
Khalilah’s favorite band while growing up was mindless behavior.
Khalilah loved animals of all shapes and sizes.
Khalilah love nothing more than to be around the individuals that she loved.
Her favorite place to be was at home.
Her favorite show to watch was Love Island.
Her favorite sports consisted of track and field, flag and regular football, and basketball.
Khalilah had one sibling, an older sister, by the name of Kayla Richardson.
During her life time she was blessed with a husband, three children, and various grnadchildren.
She attended Mississippi State University and received her Bachelors and Masters in Veterinary Sciences and proceeded to graduate from Veterinary School.
Some events that she will always be remembered for includes joining the military, skydiving, traveling to every continent, always been available when needed, being very caring and nurturing, and so much more.
Khalilah O. Rufus, born on June 22, 2006, in Baxley, GA, was a vibrant soul who touched the lives of many. Most recently residing in Fort Worth, TX, Khalilah was known for her adventurous spirit and her profound love for family and friends. She was a devoted wife for 60 years to her college sweetheart and a proud mother of three children and several grandchildren.
Khalilah's passions were as diverse as her interests. She had a deep love for animals of all shapes and sizes, which influenced her career as a veterinarian. She proudly earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Veterinary Sciences from Mississippi State University and graduated from Veterinary School, demonstrating her dedication to her profession.
Among her many hobbies, Khalilah enjoyed traveling and had the remarkable experience of visiting every continent. She was an active participant in JROTC, where she developed leadership skills that she carried throughout her life. Her creative side flourished through writing poetry and indulging in her love for reading. She found joy in simple pleasures, including enjoying various pasta dishes and homemade meals.
Khalilah was also a sports enthusiast, excelling in track and field, football, and basketball. In her downtime, she loved watching "Love Island" and listening to her favorite band, Mindless Behavior.
Affectionately nicknamed Khi, Lilah, and Livi, she was cherished for her caring and nurturing nature, always available when needed. Khalilah's life motto, "Keep God first and everything will follow," resonated deeply with those who knew her. Her legacy of love, community service, and charitable involvement will continue to inspire those she leaves behind, as she was always dedicated to making a positive impact in her community. Khalilah O. Rufus will be fondly remembered for her adventurous spirit, her unconditional love for her family, and her unwavering commitment to her passions.
