Kevin Francis Kavanaugh, born on September 16, 1951, in Island Park, NY, peacefully passed away on March 6, 2024, in Hempstead, NY. He was a dedicated and accomplished lead computer operations manager, having worked for various companies throughout his career. Kevin spent the last seven years at Dell Transportation Corp, where he served as a Drivers Aide.
One of Kevin's proudest accomplishments was his work with students, particularly those with special needs. He cherished the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives and always spoke fondly of his time working with them.
Kevin was a beloved husband to Marlene Mitchell-Kavanaugh and a loving brother to his sister, Kathleen Kavanaugh. He was a devoted father to his three children, Sean Kavanaugh, Maureen Kavanaugh-Semple, and Donna Kavanaugh-Bauer. Additionally, Kevin was a stepfather to Seantia Antoinette Mitchell and Ennis Johnson Jr. He was a cherished grandfather to Patrick Kavanaugh, Ryan Kavanaugh, Rebecca Kavanaugh, Benjamin Bauer, Sean Anthony Mitchell, Tereena Mitchell, Shalissa Mitchell, Brianna Neverson, Myanni Johnson, and E.J. Johnson, DeVaughn Hood, Sophia Mia, and Jay Mula. He was also a great grandfather to Dasan Anthony Mitchell and Karmen Antonia Mitchell.
Kevin will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His warm-hearted nature and dedication to others will be remembered and cherished. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
