Kenneth Walter Sperling was born on October 18, 1947 in Saskatoon, SK to Walter and Albertine Sperling. He passed away at home, on December 30, 2024 in Lucky Lake, SK.
Ken was predeceased by his parents Walter and Albertine, his brother Loyd, and his daughter Anna Carol. He was survived by his wife Dawn, his children Chris (Jane), and their children Andrew, Tugume, Kenny, Albert, Isaiah, Ezra, Anna, and Alin; Oliver and his children Benton and Liesel; April (Masiu) and their children Sione, Aane, Lute, Niko, and Josh; Robin; Rosie (Raymond); and his siblings Violet, Lorne, Beatrice, Brian, Gilbert, Julene, and Doris.
Ken was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He took great joy in spending time with his family, creating lasting memories. Throughout his life he was a faithful friend, pastor, and an active community member. He had a particular love and concern for the elderly. His warm and welcoming spirit touched many lives.
Ken had many interests and hobbies, most of which involved being outdoors and in nature. He loved to spend hours working in the yard or on a woodworking project, going for a hike or combing the beach for treasures. His artistic touch was seen in everything he put his hands to, whether it was handmade birthday cards, walking sticks for loved ones or decorating the church for Christmas. His creativity remains with us in these thoughtful crafts.
Most important to Ken was his walk with God. He was a very gracious man and this stemmed from his deep conviction that God had been so gracious with him. He lived his life in devotion to God and this was reflected in his genuine love and care for others.
There will be a memorial service held at Lucky Lake Community Hall, Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan
