Kenneth Allen Brooks, lovingly known as Ken, was born on November 23, 1986, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. After a long illness Kenneth peacefully left this world on June 9th 2024.

Ken had a variety of interests that brought him joy. He loved working on cars, helping others, and collecting Hot Wheels. Spending time with his family was his greatest pleasure. Ken also enjoyed indulging in his favorite foods, such as steak, shells and cheese, chicken quesadillas, enchiladas, and spaghetti.

In his free time, Ken delighted in listening to music from bands and artists like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Guns N' Roses, Merle Haggard, Pearl Jam, Ozzy Osbourne, Prince, Waylon Jennings, Struggle Jennings, Ice Cube, Jelly Roll, and Kid Rock. He had an eclectic taste in music.

Ken had a unique and random personality, always doing things his own way. When faced with a question, he would turn to Google for answers. He took pride in his ability to work on cars and played the trombone in the band. He also enjoyed attempting to play the guitar. Ken was an avid video game enthusiast, but he treasured listening to his daughter Alexis tell him about sharks and hearing about his children's day at school. He was a reliable presence in their lives.

Ken adored spending time in his room, which he considered his favorite place in the world. He also had a fondness for TV shows like Dukes of Hazzard and anything featuring actors Steven Seagal, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Scarlett Johansson. Baseball was his favorite sport, and he loved savoring the flavor of butter pecan ice cream.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Dalena Brooks, whom he married on June 22, 2013, in Shawnee. Together, they built a beautiful family, including their children Christopher Brooks, Alexis Hopkins, Jaclynn Brooks, and Judith Brooks.

Beyond his immediate family, Ken is survived by his sister Keeley Cook, sister Stephanie Smith, brother Christopher Saxton, Aunt Tami Morgan, Uncle Jason Herold, and many more family members and friends.

Ken was known for his reliability and his willingness to help others. He took pride in his profession, working on cars and mowing yards. Completing projects and being a dedicated father were some of his proudest accomplishments.

Remembered for his catchphrase, "It is what it is," Ken had a way of finding solutions and completing jobs. He impacted the lives of those around him with his kindness and willingness to lend a hand. Ken also contributed to his community by assisting with the cleanup efforts after a tornado struck Seminole.

Ken held Christian beliefs and had a strong sense of faith. Despite life's ups and downs, he remained a steadfast presence for those who needed him the most.

In our hearts, Ken will forever be cherished for his love, generosity, and his dedication to his family. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
