Keith enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in the outdoors as a young man
Keith Hobbs was born on July 13th, 1940 to Benjamin Franklin Hobbs and Cleo Spell in Warsaw, NC.
Keith enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in the outdoors as a young man, which carried over into his life as a devoted father of two sons.
He was very active in their lives, supporting them through the Boy Scouts, swim meets, wrestling matches, and cross country competitions.
Both Vance and Reid became Eagle Scouts in Troop 118 in Charlotte.
Keith attended East Carolina University and was a diehard Pirate fan. He loved to rub it in when they won games over NCSU.
He was also a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, as were both of his boys.
His career in advertising and public relations began with the American Heart Association in Richmond, Virginia.
This led him to Raleigh to work for mortgage lenders Cameron-Brown and First Union in Charlotte; then to the PR firm Loeffler/Ketchum/Mountjoy.
Keith later went on to form his own company, Business Services Associates, where he had a long career helping his clients gain exposure for their products and services.
Most importantly, Keith was endlessly devoted to his wife of 58 years. He was married to Charlotte "Cindy" Eller on July 1, 1967 in Greensboro, NC.
He is survived by his wife Cindy and his two boys; Vance of West Point, VA and Reid of Wilmington, NC as well as sister in-laws Julie Eiwen of Morgan Hill, CA, Melissa Eller of Salisbury, NC, and Susan Nepomuceno of Beaver Dam, VA and had many grandkids.
The family is very thankful for everybody support at this time.
We'll plant real trees for you in Keith's memory and display your contribution forever.
