Keith Barnes, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on July 8, 2024, at the age of 63. He was born on December 9, 1960, in Kentucky and spent his later years in Trotwood, OH.
Keith was known for his passion for golfing, fishing, and helping others with vehicle maintenance. He had an eclectic taste in music, with favorite bands and artists including Led Zeppelin, The Walflowers, Matchbox 20, Queen, and Metallica, among others. Nothing brought him more joy than finding a good fishing hole, enjoying a great beer, and engaging in simple conversations with his family and friends.
Keith was a dedicated sports fan, with a special love for L.A. Rams Football, Buckeye football, and Wildcat Basketball. He worked as the head Master Mechanic at Miami Valley Golf Course for 32 years, leaving behind a remarkable professional legacy.
Known for his straightforward nature, Keith had a few favorite sayings, including "Shut Up," "That's life!," and "Oh well." He took immense pride in witnessing his son, Jeremy, graduate BMT from the Air Force.
Keith leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Sharon Barnes, and their beloved grandson, Beau, as well as their granddaughter, Charlie, and his son, Jeremy. He is also survived by his brother, Scott Willoughby. Keith will be remembered for his hard-nosed work ethic, big heart, stubbornness, and unconditional love for everyone he knew. If you had the pleasure of knowing Keith, you had a friend for life.
A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Keith's life and honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice in Keith's name.
