Katie Maxine Baldwin Utley, Daughter of the late Hector Baldwin and Lessie Martin Baldwin was born on September 26, 1939, in Richmond County North Carolina. She attended Richmond County schools and worked 20 years at ALEO mills 16 years at Pinebluff Products and 19 years RFI Klausner Furniture. Maxine was raised in the church, She attended Saint Joseph holiness church in Windblow NC in her youth. After the marriage, she attended Mount Zion United Methodist of Beaverdam community and became a founding member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church (Beaverdam community). She was a faithful member of the usher board, she served as Sunday school treasurer and she was our church's golden Rose for 18 beautiful years she passed away as the mother of the church. To her marriage union, she leaves to her children, Joyce Utley Smith (Florida) Doretha and Johnny Little, Vicky Utley Chambers, and Loretta Utley (all of Rockingham North Carolina). She was preceded in death by her son Kennie Al Utley two sons-in-law and one grandson. She was also preceded in death by six siblings and leaves to mourn her baby sister Emma Jean, and brother-in-law, Carl McKinney (Charlotte North Carolina). She also leads one granddaughter Victoria Phillip Waddell and four grandsons Tyree Alford Gilmore, Blake Carrington Utley, Troy Logan Pickens, Brandon Price, and three great-grandsons Philip Maurice Waddell III, Kobe Carrington Utley and Kennison Price, and her stepson Carrington Dubois Love, and her son-in-law, Troy Pickens, and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and wonderful friends.
