Our angel Kathleen Ford was born on August 2, 1944 in Los Angeles, California to her loving parents Marvin Horton and Gertude Horton (who both proceeds her in death). Kathy accepted Christ at an early age. She united at Normandie Church of Christ where she dedicated her life to Jesus. Then later she began worshipping with True Love Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Emeritus, Rev. Dr. Willie Jacobs and Pastor R. Charles Hemphill, Jr.

She served faithfully in bible study, Tuesday Morning Glory and Friday Night Live prayer. Growing up Kathy attended Markum Jr. High and went on to graduate from Jordan High School, class of 1962. She began her career as a bank teller at Bank of America for years. Then she started working as a clerk for the Los Angeles Superior court where she she retired from after 25 years. Shortly after retirement Kathy purchased he home in Sun City (Menifee) in September 2009, where her and her sister Janet moved to and enjoyed a quiet lifetime together. One of Kathy's favorite things to do was travel, have fun with family and friends and baking her famous cakes from scratch.

She departed this earthly life on Thursday, February 27th, 2025. She will be greatly missed here on earth. She was greeted with love and hugs by her husband Ivy Ford; daughters: Debra and Laurie; Sisters: Emma, Jane; brother: Marvin, Jr. and niece Christine Simon. Kathy was a very sweet, soft spoken, loving person with a giving spirit. She would always give you something on your birthday or Christmas. She welcomed any and everyone and was always willing to help those in need. We will always cherish those special memories.

Kathy leaves here in God's protection: Her grandsons Brian and Maurice, one great grandson Jayden and a hos of nieces, nephews, cousins, great cousins and other family and friends.
