She was very proud of her journey and motivation to become sober and gave credit to her niece Kayleigh for being a motivating inspiration. She was a phenomenal artist and she loved to travel.
The few family members that stayed by her side through her good tomes and bad. She would go out of her way to help the people she loved. She was loyal to the ones she loved.

June Lorraine Brann, born on February 1, 1978, in Augusta, Maine, passed away on January 23, 2025, at MGMC in Augusta, Maine. She most recently resided in Vassalboro, Maine. June was known for her loyalty to family and friends, always going out of her way to help those she loved. She was a phenomenal artist who took great pride in her creations and was passionate about her ten years of sobriety, which strengthened her relationships with her family.
June enjoyed spending time with her family, drawing, dancing with friends, and playing cards. She found joy in writing while listening to her favorite music, which included Jelly Roll, Doctor Hook, and classic rock and country. Her love for her mother’s famous chicken and broccoli casserole was a cherished part of family gatherings. June had a unique ability to bring laughter to those around her, often recalling anecdotes that left everyone in stitches, even if it meant she would joke about peeing her pants.
A proud traveler, June adored being on the water or spending time with her sister, nieces, and nephews. She was known affectionately as “Idie” and more recently “Whitey.” Her perseverance and stubbornness were defining traits that shaped her journey through life, inspiring others to pursue their own paths of self-improvement.
June is survived by her sister Sharon Ballard of Augusta, her sister Ruth Merrick of Farmington, and her brother Austin Brann of New Hampshire. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces Natasha Ricker and husband Justin of Pittston, Cassandra Leach and husband Peter of Vassalboro, as well as Kayleigh Ricker and Brooklyn Leach. Her nephews Cameron Elston and Elijah Ricker, along with many other family members and friends, will fondly remember her impact on their lives.
June Lorraine Brann will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, her spirit of confidence, love, and laughter leaving a lasting legacy.
