Obituario

Julie Lynn Simpson, beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away on June 18, 2024, at the age of 63 in Punta Gorda, FL. She was born on September 26, 1960, in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Julie was a woman of many talents and passions. She found joy in painting and expressing her creativity in various ways. Prior to her artistic pursuits, Julie served in the U.S. Army for 11 years as a dedicated medic. She then dedicated over 25 years of her life as a caregiver and later worked as a case manager for the homeless coalition.

Above all else, Julie cherished her family. Her two daughters, Christina and Danielle Simpson, were the light of her life. She took immense pride in being a grandmother to her three grandsons, Jayden Innocent, Tycen James, and Kadence Desrameaux. Although her granddaughter Amira Rock is no longer with us, Julie held her memory close to her heart.

Julie always dreamed of visiting Machu Picchu, a place she considered her favorite in the world. Her favorite quote, "It is what it is," reflected her pragmatic outlook on life. She believed in the power of resilience and facing reality head-on.

With her kindness, caring nature, and loyalty, Julie made a significant impact on the lives of those around her. She had a fighting spirit and would stubbornly persevere through challenges. Julie's presence alone provided comfort and reassurance, making others feel that everything would be alright.

In addition to her personal contributions, Julie sponsored a young girl from Save the Children, demonstrating her commitment to helping others and making a difference in her community.

Julie Lynn Simpson is survived by her mother Kathleen Miele, father Thomas Simpson, and brothers Scott and Steve Simpson. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire acts of kindness and love.
