Judy Mitchell Strickland, born on July 29, 1949, in Mangum, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024, in Baylor Hospital, Irving, Texas. A devoted wife and mother. Judy cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Lee Strickland, and her children, Lisa Hill and Byron Strickland, who were her pride and joy.
Judy was well-regarded in her professional life as the controller for John Eagle dealerships, where she made significant contributions to the company's success. In her personal life, she was known for her many hobbies, including sewing, cooking, and canning vegetables and fruits. A fan of Mexican food and country music, Judy found joy in simple pleasures, often sharing meals and laughter with family and friends.
Her favorite retreat was in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where she created lasting memories. Judy enjoyed watching "Wheel of Fortune" and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Dallas Cowboys. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas, where she found community and fellowship.
Judy will be remembered not only for her accomplishments but for the warmth and love she shared with those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and devotion that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
