Judith Ellen Jouppi, known affectionately as Judie, passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on May 20, 1938, in Detroit, MI, she spent her later years in Westland, MI, surrounded by family and friends.
Judie was married to her high school sweetheart, Eugene Allen, for 22 wonderful years before becoming a widow. Together, they owned a successful business, and Judie later worked at Adistra. Her proudest accomplishments were being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, a role she cherished immensely.
She is survived by her children: David (Lori) Jouppi, Daniel (Lisa) Jouppi, Wendy (Thomas) Frazier, and Kevin (Colleen) Jouppi. She was also survived by her grandchildren: Gene, Kaitlin (Dale), Lauren (Derek), Mary (Keith), Tommy (Brittany), Danny (Shelby), Kelly (Braden), Mike (Kurstin), Nick (Morgan), Madison (Nick), Kaelyn and Emma. She also had many great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy. Judie is also survived by her sister, Kathleen Bessey.
Judie was an energetic and kind-hearted person, known for her tidy home and her amazing culinary skills. She delighted in baking her famous brownies and preparing her favorite homemade dishes for her loved ones. She had a passion for travel, particularly to Las Vegas, where she loved staying at the Paris hotel. Her favorite music artists included Jimmy Buffett, Poco, and James Taylor, which always filled her home with warmth and joy.
On Sundays, Judie found great pleasure in making her weekly NFL picks and watching the games, a testament to her love for the sport. She will be remembered for the love and warmth she shared with everyone around her, as well as her firm belief in the Lutheran faith.
Judie's legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness, her love for cooking, and her unwavering spirit. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
