Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Judith Ellen Hobart (née Keeling), 73, of Glendale, Arizona, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on October 24, 1950 to Cameron Beasley Keeling and Phyllis Mary Keeling (née Dodge).  She graduated from Ancaster High & Vocational School in 1969 and then went on to receive her nursing degree from the Hamilton & District School of Nursing in 1971.  She worked as a pediatric nurse.

She was married to Gary James Hobart on October 9, 1976.  Together for over 50 years, they raised 3 children and 5 grandchildren, and enjoyed many adventures together, including living in Switzerland for a time.

Judith loved art and was an avid reader who enjoyed her Gentle Reads Book Discussion Group at the Foothills Library.

She was survived by her children Amanda Keeling Hobart, Daryl Alexander Hobart (married to Jessica Hobart), and Emily Dawn Hobart (married to Brian Nigus); her grandchildren Ethan Ronald Gary Anaka (14), Cameron Charles Anaka (11), Daxter Ray Hobart (9), Edie Opal Hobart (2), and Indie Pearl Hobart (6 Months); and her sister Catherine Rowena Dent (married to Brian Dent).

A private family ceremony will take place in June. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local library.  The best way to honor her legacy is to be kind to others as she always was.
