Obituary

Jude Elaine Alloway, affectionately known as Judy Bean, was born on May 10, 1938, in Austin, Texas, and passed away on November 4, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. A devoted wife to her beloved husband, Dave Alloway, Jude was a cherished mother to her two children, Lynn and Jeff, who both went on to create beautiful families of their own.

Jude's kind-hearted nature was reflected in her many passions. A talented jewelry maker, she found joy in creating beautiful pieces that brought smiles to those around her. Her love for cornbread was matched only by her enthusiasm for bluegrass music, which often filled her home and heart. Jude had a special place in her world—her pool—where she enjoyed relaxing and spending time with family and her beloved dog, Scooby.

Known for her unwavering positivity, Jude was a firm believer in the mantra, "Nothing is too bad that a good cup of coffee cannot fix." This optimistic outlook on life resonated with everyone she met. Her dedication to her family and her warm, inviting spirit meant her door was always open to those in need. Jude never turned down an opportunity to serve, whether at her church, Atonement, or within her community, where she participated in praise and worship.

Jude is survived by her siblings, John, Joan, and Jer, as well as her adoring family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and community spirit that will be remembered by all who knew her. In her leisure time, she enjoyed watching Judge Judy and Family Feud and cheering for the Hook 'em Horns, embracing life with a cheerful heart and a smile that could light up any room. Her impact on the lives of others will be felt for years to come, and she will be deeply missed by all.
