JQuawn James Buchanan, born on September 9, 1996, in Buffalo, New York, departed this life on January 1, 2025.

JQuawn was the beloved son of Shamecca Pilgram and Jesse Buchanan. He earned his G.E.D. in 2014 and was known for his vibrant personality—a unique combination of a tough exterior and an extremely loving and playful nature that brought joy to all who knew him.

He leaves behind treasured memories with his two young children, Javarie (3 years old) and Truley Precious Buchanan (9 months old), as well as his devoted parents. JQuawn is also survived by a large and loving family, including siblings William B., Josiah N., Jesse Jr., Steven B., J-Mar B., JaJaun, BraJohn, Jermain, Jaden, Jayon, Javon, Javion, Carter, TaJohn, India B., Sasha, Malia N., Dareesha, Jaylyn, Jayonna, Janiya, Jayviona, and Jadia. He is further remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

JQuawn was preceded in death by his grandmother Sharon Brandon; grandfather James T. Pilgram; three brothers—Jordan, Jaquan, and Jerrai—and one sister, Jaykela.
