He cherished spending time with his three children, Landon, Jace, and Skye, and their favorite activity was having family days at Jumping Junction. Joshua also had a deep bond with his mother, Ginger "Smiley" Posey Smith, and loved taking her out on their boat for fishing trips. His mother passed away just two weeks before Joshua's own passing in November 2022, and he held her dear in his heart.

Mexican and Chinese cuisine brought delight to Joshua's taste buds, particularly indulging in cheese caso dip. Music played a significant role in his life, with R&B, hip hop, and rap being his go-to genres.
