Graduated from Jones Valley high school in 1948, attended the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, and graduated in chemistry. Entered dental school at the University of Alabama, Birmingham and earned his DMD degree.
Military service
Enlisted in the United States Air Force as a medical officer and achieved the rank of Captain. Stationed in Europe as an Air Force dentist.
Marriage
Met his wife, Marian Yanni, while stationed in Europe and they were married in Beirut, Lebanon. Both were Lebanese and took pride in their heritage.
Residence
Settled in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he started his dental practice and raised his family.
Hobbies
Enjoyed singing during Sunday Mass and other celebrations, playing cards and tennis, entertaining at home, skiing, and traveling.
Family
Survived by his four children, David, Cathy (Jordan), Richard (Theresa), and Mark (Alexandra), and his seven grandchildren. Pre-deceased by his wife of 64 years, Marian Yanni Zaden.
Affiliations
Passionate supporter of his Roman Catholic Faith, The Knights of Columbus, the Alabama Crimson Tide, and St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
