Joseph LeRay Martinez, lovingly known as Killroy, was born on November 9, 1960, in Ordway, Colorado. He peacefully passed away on June 9, 2024, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Joseph had a zest for life and a kind heart that touched the lives of those around him. He was always there to lend a hug, share a laugh, or provide protection to those in need. Despite occasional fiery outbursts when angered, Joseph was a pillar of positivity and always looked at the brighter side of life.

One of Joseph's greatest passions was the Denver Broncos. He was a dedicated fan, cheering them on with unwavering support. Family was also incredibly important to Joseph, and he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones.

Joseph had a diverse taste in music, enjoying every genre as long as it had a good beat and rhythm. His favorite band, however, was Journey. He also delighted in Mexican and Italian cuisine, with Italian food holding a special place in his heart.

In his spare time, Joseph loved working on cars, showcasing his skills and passion for automobiles. He found joy in fixing and improving vehicles, always eager to lend a hand to those in need.

Joseph leaves behind a lasting legacy and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his three children, Leroy, Leona, and Satia, as well as his sister Margaret, niece Tanya, brothers, and numerous other beloved family members.

His impact on the lives of others cannot be overstated, and his absence will be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Joseph LeRay Martinez will be remembered for his kindness, protective nature, and his ability to find joy in life's simplest pleasures. May he rest in eternal peace.
