Joseph “Joey” Whitefield, born on October 30, 1986, in Oliver Springs, TN, passed away on September 3, 2024, in Oswego, NY. Joey was a beloved father, brother, and friend, known for his infectious laughter and ability to make those around him smile.

Joey cherished his time spent fishing, a hobby that brought him peace and joy. His favorite place in the world was his home in Tennessee, where many cherished memories were made. A devoted fan of Syracuse football, he often gathered with friends and family to cheer on his team.

He is survived by his children, Talan and Morgan Whitefield, and his grandchildren, Alani, Livy, Arianna, and Joey Jr. He also leaves behind his stepfather, Bryan Mignogna, his Granny Beverly Morgan, his sister and brother-in-law Shae and Chris Bunch, his brother Jason Whitefield, and his sister Jayme. Joey was a proud uncle to his nephews, Jayden, Kayden, and Eli.

Joey lived his life with a strong Christian faith, which guided him and provided comfort to those who loved him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
