Joseph "Frenchy" Francois, born on March 9, 1950, in Alexandria, Louisiana, passed away on December 18, 2024, in Raymond, Illinois. A dedicated family man, Joseph is remembered for his unwavering love for his family and friends. He proudly served in the National Guard and worked as a truck driver, where he formed lasting friendships along the way.
Joseph had a passion for the great outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing in his spare time. He had a particular fondness for flavorful foods and cherished listening to all genres of country music. One of his favorite pastimes was sitting under the pavilion, watching over his mini lake, a place where he found peace and joy.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Zada Francois, and their children: Chad and Angela Francois, Recca Francois Cox, Sheila and Paul Long, Daralyn and Justin Crites, Doug Apel, Kim and Jim O'Dell, and Tom and Lindsey Cliver, Brittney Cliver, along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joseph is also survived by his Father Joseph "Pops" Francois Sr. Step mother Dale Francois and sister, Carolyn Pfitzinger.
He was preceded by his mother Arvie Francois and his brother Mike Francois.
A Pentecostal at heart, Joseph’s spirit will live on in the memories of those who loved him.
A celebration of life will be schedule for a later date.
