Dr. Jose Humberto Valladares, a dedicated father, surgeon, and family physician, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024, at the age of 86. Born in Havana, Cuba, Dr. Valladares’s journey from medical school in Spain, joining the United States military, to building a lifelong accomplished career is a testament to his unwavering commitment to his profession and his community. Dr. Valladares had a profound impact on the lives of his patients both in Little Havana and in the hospitals he operated at. In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Valladares volunteered on many mission trips with Alfalit International and hosted weekly radio shows where he would discuss medicine and current affairs.
Dr. Valladares is survived by his seven children - Jose, Eric, Gail, Jacky, Nick, Alex and Danny - and his four grandchildren - Summer, Ethan, Christian, and Lucas - all of whom carry forward his legacy of compassion, intellect, and dedication. His family and friends will remember him not only for his professional achievements but also for his boundless love and commitment to his loved ones.
We'll plant real trees for you in Jose's memory and display your contribution forever.
