Chewy loved fishing, as much as he could on the beach no matter hpw far away he was. Ww will never foget those beach trips, they will be cherished.
Chewy loved tacos and fish boils, along with Juanitas cooking.

Chewy cherished family over everything. It was veey important for all the family came together once a month for food and memories.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jose (Chewy) Gomez, born in July 6th of 1962, who left us peacefully in November 10th of 2025 at the age of 63. Chewy was a devoted father, a loving family man, and a friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Throughout his life, Chewy cherished the simple joys that came with time spent with family. He was the cornerstone of his household—steady, strong, and endlessly supportive. His love for his children and grandchildren was immeasurable, and he found joy in their laughter, their milestones, and their company.
Chewy lived a long, healthy life, always maintaining a balanced approach to health and wellness. He was an avid lover of the outdoors, with his favorite moments spent by the water, fishing on peaceful beach trips. These excursions, often with family in tow, were some of his most treasured memories. His fishing stories, whether about the big catch or the one that got away, will be fondly remembered by all who shared those moments with him.
Chewy’s warmth, generosity, and sense of humor brought light to every room he entered. He was a man of great integrity and kindness, known for his ability to offer advice with a smile and help with an open hand. Whether you were family or a friend, you knew Chewy would always have your back.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Chewy will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and countless friends. His memory will live on in the stories told, the fishing trips taken, and the love he so freely gave.
A private memorial service will be held at the family’s request. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his honor to American Red Cross—an organization Chewy supported throughout his life.
Rest in peace, Chewy. You lived well, loved deeply, and brought joy to all who knew you. We will miss you, but your spirit will always be with us.
