Jose Antonio Rodriguez, welcomed into this world by parents Anna and Raymond Rodriguez on August 9th, 1979 in Springfield, Ohio. He had 3 brothers Ramon, Manuel and Ricardo alongside 4 sisters Lolita, Julie, Veronica and Margarita.

In July of 2001, he met his wife Leticia and son Antonio. In January of 2003, Leticia and Jose welcome their daughter and named her Annalee, after Jose's mother that passed away from colon cancer in 1999. Having started their own family, Jose and Leticia got married and enjoyed 22 years of their lives together.

In December of 2020 Jose's cancer journey began, when he started not feeling very well or like himself. He had stopped eating solid foods and would stay home from work because of the awful feeling he was in. After going to the emergency room, doctors later found out that he had a ruptured bowel and his stomach was full of puss. This took doctors three hours to drain but while doing just that, they found cancerours polyps in his colon which they had to cut in half. Due to this, he stayed in the hospital for fourteen days with no family or friends being able to visit him because of covid-19 regulations. He was then diagnosed with colon cancer and began his very first chemotherapy treatment on March 1st, 2021. While this kind of chemo treatment didn't do him any good, he began trying many other different chemotherapy treatments including chemotherapy pills. He fought very hard but his body began becoming immune to these medicines. During these times, his liver developed a cancerous spot smaller than a grain of rice which lead to him having to complete numerous liver biopsies. In November of 2022, just after Thanksgiving, Jose stopped eating and drinking completely because he said he felt full. He would sleep most days, all day and would just stay in bed. Then one morning, he woke up not being able to breathe and was rushed to the emergency room. Little did we know that his stomach and around his lungs were full of water which was why he felt full. Doctors then drained 3 litters of water from his body but later developed an infection where the procedure was done. They later told our family that it was best for everyone he knew to come visit him as soon as possible because his liver and kidneys were failing. Doctors also said due to this, they weren't sure how much time he had left to live but they knew it wasn't very long, so family stayed by his side 24/7, spending most nights and days in the hospital with Jose. On December 03, 2022 at 12:08pm, Jose passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his loving family.
