Jose Anthony Alonso, known affectionately as Tony, passed away on September 15, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on December 3, 1951, in Brooklyn, NY, he spent his later years in Houston, TX, where he created countless memories with his beloved family.
Tony dedicated his life to his career as a truck driver, a profession that allowed him to explore the open road while providing for his family. He was known for his warm personality, with a gift for storytelling that captivated those around him. His love for western shows provided him with enjoyment and laughter, often sharing his favorite moments with family and friends.
Above all, Tony cherished his family, finding joy in the company of his wife, Christine Alonso, and their three children: Jose, Brian, and Jessica. He was a proud grandfather to Alexandria, Isreal, Madelyn, Jaslyn, Nathan, Aaliyah, Noel, Jose, and Arabella, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Tony's loyal dog, Minnie, was also a cherished companion throughout his life.
He is survived by his sisters, Mercy and Minnie and his brothers, George and Tony, who will hold his memory close. Tony's legacy of love, laughter, and storytelling will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.
