Johnny Elbert Hubbard, affectionately known to many as "Johnny Boy," was born on October 17, 1948, in Mexia, Texas. He is survived by his children, Johnny Hubbard Jr and Waricka Session; and his grandchildren, Sarah Washington, Tanjeneka Mosley and Thomas Jones. With a host of great grandchildren. He passed away peacefully in Dallas, Texas, on February 4, 2025, leaving behind a lasting legacy of kindness and joy.
Throughout his life, Johnny was a dedicated and hardworking individual. He made significant contributions as a custodian at the Dallas Independent School District, as well as working as a mechanic and truck driver. His commitment to his work was matched only by his vibrant personality, which endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Johnny was known for his bubbly demeanor and was often regarded as the life of the party. He had a heart that was always ready to help others, embodying a spirit of generosity and compassion that touched the lives of many. An animal lover at heart, he shared his affection for all creatures, and his caring nature was evident in every interaction.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Johnny found joy in dancing, fishing, and hunting. These hobbies were not just pastimes for him; they were a way to connect with nature, celebrate life's beauty, and create moments of joy with friends and loved ones.
The memorial services for Johnny will be held on February 7, 2025, with a viewing from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. Following this, a funeral service will take place on February 8, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the JOHN CHAPEL of the same location.
As we remember Johnny Elbert Hubbard, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by laughter, love, and an unyielding spirit that inspired those around him. His presence will be dearly missed, but his memory will surely live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
