John W. Wilks, age 71 passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 1, 2024.
John was born February 11, 1953 to the late John & Agnus (Traywick) Wilks. John was educated in Kenosha Schools and graduated Bradford High School.
John devoted his life to helping others. John relocated to Eau Claire in 2002 so he could be near his sister. John spent many years helping her manage her motel, he later found a church which he became completely devoted to.
John is survived by his one son John (Arika) Wilks of Camp Douglas; sisters and brothers, Jane (Daryl) LaPlant of Rockport, Texas, Judy Lang of Bloomer, George Wilks of California, and Mike Wilks of Racine. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.
John is preceded in death by his parents: John and Agnus (Traywick) Wilks, brother: Arthur Wilks, and brother in law: Robert Marques.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
