John Phillip Woods, also known as "Pete" passed away on April 19, 2024,

In Victorville, California, at the age of 86

He was born on March 30, 1938, in

Yazoo City, Mississippi, to Matthew and

Grace Woods.

Pete was the youngest of his siblings

and had a brother and a sister. At the

age of 16, he altered his birth certificate

and bravely joined the military. Pete

served honorably in the Navy for over

30 years, specializing in airplane

mechanics. After a long and dedicated

career, he was honorably discharged.

Pete was a Catholic. In his personal life,

Pete was known for his love of breakfast

outings with friends and family, his

passion for Cadillac cars, and his

enjoyment of watching Football and

Western movies.

He was a kind and generous soul

always willing to lend a helping hand to

those in need.

Pete leaves behind a legacy of love and

care, survived by 3Goddaughters, 1 Son in-Law, 5 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Granddaughter

and a few cherished friends.

Pete will be deeply missed by all who

knew him, but his memory will live on in

the hearts of those he touched with his

kindness and generosity. May he rest In Peace.
