John is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Janice B. Bangit; his son, David B. Bangit, and daughter-in-law, Dr. Rachel K. Bangit; his daughter, Virginia M. Bangit; his beloved grandchildren, Isaiah, Grace, William, Kiersten, and Alyssa; his sister, Victoria B. Baum; his brother-in-law, Clark Blackwell; his sister-in-law, Juli Blackwell, as well as Lucy Ellen Baldwin; and numerous nieces and nephews
John is preceded in death by his father, Edward N. Bangit; his mother, Louise M. Bangit; as well as his brothers Michael M. Bangit and David M. Bangit
John found joy in fishing, hunting, geology, and history
The family invites friends and loved ones to pay their respects during the visitation on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
John was a man of deep faith, finding solace and strength in his relationship with God
