John Michael Speckhals, born on November 23, 1959, in Kansas City, MO, passed away on October 16, 2024, in Hiawatha, KS. He is survived by his beloved wife, Gina Maxine Speckhals, with whom he shared 39 wonderful years of marriage, having been high school sweethearts. John was a devoted family man, proud father to his daughter, Melissa Speckhals, and son, Chris Speckhals, as well as a cherished grandfather to his four grandsons: Andrew Mackey, Derek Mackey, Jay Vincent, and Blaze Speckhals.

As a home remodeler and substance abuse counselor, John dedicated his life to improving the lives of others. He owned his own home remodeling business, where he not only transformed spaces but also volunteered his services to families in need, showcasing his generous spirit. Known for his great sense of humor, John brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to assist with the costs of his funeral services. John will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, kindness, and creativity will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
