John McCoy, affectionately known as Johnny, passed away on June 7, 2024, at the age of 59. He was born on April 12, 1965, in New York, NY, and most recently resided in Charlotte, NC.
John had a deep passion for football and basketball, often spending his weekends watching games and cheering on his favorite teams. Seafood was his ultimate culinary delight, and he always savored every bite. In his free time, he loved watching Tyler Perry movies and would find joy and laughter in their stories.
But above all, John's greatest love was spending time fishing with his three beloved sons, Scott Jackson, Nate McCoy, and Kenny McCoy. He treasured these moments and created lasting memories that will be cherished by his family.
Having served 20 years in the military, John's dedication and commitment were evident in his profession. He took great pride in his service and found fulfillment in his career achievements. John believed that life was too short to be angry all the time, and he carried this motto with him, spreading positivity and understanding to those around him.
Starting a family was John's proudest accomplishment, and he poured his heart into being a loving and devoted father.
