Obituary

John Lionel Graham III, known affectionately as Johnny, was born on February 5, 1964, in Hudson, NY, where he spent most of his life. He died peacefully on August 22, 2024, at Pine Haven Nursing Home in Philmont, NY.

A tall and thin figure, John was always ready to lend a helping hand. With a passion for gardening, he took great joy in planting his garden and growing his beloved plants. He often spoke of his ambitious pumpkin-growing endeavors, recalling how he sometimes needed assistance to lift his impressive harvests. His love for animals was evident in the care he provided for the pets he raised, especially Moo Moo and Max, who brought him immense joy.

John had a knack for solving puzzles, both in his leisure time and in life, and he had a deep appreciation for classic country music, often enjoying the tunes of Johnny Cash and Conway Twitty. His favorite meals included prime rib and spicy dishes, reflecting his zest for life.

As a devoted fan of football and wrestling, he enjoyed sharing these passions with friends and family. His evenings often included watching favorite TV shows like Chicago Fire, NCIS, and CSI Miami.

John is survived by his loving sisters Bonnie, Melissa Metts, another sister, Pamela Marks, and Paula, as well as his brothers Danny Bayouth and Scott Graham. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his father John L. Graham Jr., mother Mildred Lentz, sister Lori, and brother Jimmy.

Known for his memorable personality, John impacted the lives of everyone he met, always carrying a positive spirit and a saying, "and all that," that resonated with those around him. He loved picnics and treasured the moments spent with friends and family when possible.

John Lionel Graham III will be deeply missed, but his legacy of kindness, passion for gardening, and love for animals will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
