John "Zion" Rupert, a beloved musician, former college and international basketball player, and political activist, was killed as the result of a botched FBI raid on his home in Maine. Born on July 1, 1992, John was known to some as Rupert but preferred to be called Zion. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched throughout his short, yet impactful time on this earth. His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of those he leaves behind. May Zion have peace in whichever constellation he was needed, as we remember and cherish the time we had with him, and the music he left behind.
