John "Mario" was Born June 21st, 1958, in San Diego, CA to his parents Anthony and Antionette Jerfita, he was fourth born of 5 children (Ann, Tony, Sam, Larry). John graduated from Patrick Henry High School in San Diego. He met the love of his life Connie Jerfita (Belknap) in early 1982 while she was visiting family in San Diego. They were married on October 9th, 1982. John worked in many different fields but was always a salesman at heart. To say he was a Die-hard Chargers fan is probably the understatement of a lifetime. His favorite day of the week was Sunday when all of his kids would come over and watch football and have a family dinner night which was usually always an Italian dish.

John is Survived by his wife Connie, his three children Joseph (Kristyna), Jacob (Megan), Jason, his brother Sam, His 6 grandchildren Harper, Ava, Halle, Evelyn, Parker, Enzo and too many cousins, nieces and nephews to list

John is predeceased by both of his parents Anthony and Antionette, his sister Ann and brothers Tony and Larry.

Celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 21st 2026 from 10am-12pm at the Hoffman House 7550 E. State Street Rockford, IL 61108
