John (Jack) Berden,age 70, of North Pole Alaska, passed away on September 30, 2024. He was born on March 13, 1954 in Detroit Michigan. Jack was a beloved member of the community, known for his kind heart and generous spirit. His battle with lung cancer in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain Jack came out a hero and stayed strong until his peaceful passing surrounded by his loving family.

Jack is survived by his loving wife Kimberly, two children Jason and Jenelle. Grandchildren Jerin and Jayin, step grandchildren Aiden and Bailee and his sister Tamara Stead.

Jack always worked hard to provide for his family. He was the owner of Quality Painting Company in Cheboygan Michigan for 21 years. In 2004 Jack moved his family to Florida where he continued painting. Traveling to Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas renovating Hilton hotels. In 2020 he retired and he and his wife moved to North Pole Alaska. He fell in love with Alaska and explored, hunted and fished as much as he could. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being out in nature especially with family and friends. He was a strong man with a giant heart who was our rock. We all drew from his strength and feel his love all around us.

A life celebration will be held at his home. October 19,2024
