John Henry Dunn Jr. was born on November 26, 1969, in Houston, TX. A devoted husband to Owida Dunn for seven wonderful years, John was a loving father to his son, John Dunn III, and his daughter Rosalind Dunn, as well as a proud father figure to Jaime Bishop. He is also survived by his sister, Angela Dunn.
John recently resided in Meridian, MS, where he was known for his infectious laughter and kind spirit. He was a dedicated deacon at Freedom Rock Cathedral, where he cherished the opportunity to serve his community and connect with others.
An avid sports fan, John enjoyed watching the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Astros, often gathering with family and friends to cheer on his favorite teams. He found joy in bowling, going on cruises, and spending time in his cherished man cave, where he made many memories with his loved ones.
John’s professional achievements included winning the prestigious USRA Innovation Award earlier this year, a testament to his dedication and hard work at NASA. He often lived by the motto, "Life is too short," which reflected his approach to life and relationships.
John will be remembered for his loving nature, loyalty, and sense of humor. His proudest accomplishments were being a husband, father, and a true friend to many. He left a lasting impact on those who knew him and will be deeply missed.
