When he wasn't playing music, John loved nature and the outdoors, and would frequently go hiking.
John had a love for music, especially Bluegrass. He learned to play a mandolin by ear at a young age, and soon it became apparent that he could play just about any instrument he picked up. As a teen, he played on a weekly Bluegrass radio show at the KWOZ Radio Station in Mtn. View, AR
John loved Jesus and he knew The Bible better than most. No doubt he is up in Heaven singing with the Angels.
John Edward Gamble, born on July 20, 1973, in Downey, California, passed away on January 26, 2025, in Stuart, Florida. A passionate musician and nature enthusiast, John had a profound love for Bluegrass music. He began playing the mandolin by ear and singing at a young age and quickly showcased his talent by playing various instruments. As a teenager, he became a beloved performer on a weekly Bluegrass radio show at KWOZ Radio Station in Mountain View, Arkansas.
John was known for his great sense of humor and an infectious spirit that drew people to him. He cherished the outdoors, often spending his time hiking and connecting with nature. A devout Christian, John loved Jesus and had an impressive knowledge of the Bible, inspiring those around him with his faith. Those who knew him take comfort in the belief that he is now in Heaven singing with the angels.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bryan Eugene Gamble, his mother, Charlene (Marshall), his brother Milburn Eugene Gamble, his paternal grandparents, Edward Grover Gamble and Bertha Vera (Apple), his maternal grandparents, Dock Marshall and Callie Mae (Spence), his uncle James Gamble, his aunt Mabel (Gamble) Dervin, his aunt Juanita (Gamble) Scott, and his uncle James Marshall.
He is survived by his sister Sandy Darnell of Drasco, Arkansas; his brother Bryan Gamble of Dardanelle, Arkansas; his sister Vicki Cox of Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. John's legacy of music, laughter, and love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
