Joel Shelton Pugh, born on July 27, 1970, in Decatur, Alabama, passed away on June 21, 2024, in Campo, California.
Joel was a beloved resident of Campo Rez and had a passion for gardening and planting trees. He found joy in watching his various plants flourish and took great pleasure in sharing his knowledge with his friends and neighbors. Joel was always ready to lend a helping hand, and his kindness and generosity touched the lives of those around him.
In addition to his green thumb, Joel was an avid sports fan, with a particular love for Alabama football. He cheered passionately for his favorite team, and his enthusiasm for the game was contagious. "Roll Tide!"
Joel is survived by his parents, Gregory Pugh (Pamela), Cornelia Hill, sisters, Michelle Williams (Cody) and Rebecca Crow (Bryan), as well as several nephews and cousins. Joel's significant other was Yvette Roque. Joel also had many people on Reservation that he considered family.
Joel Shelton Pugh will be remembered for his kindness. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, friendship, and a deep appreciation for nature.
Rest in peace, Joel Shelton Pugh. You are missed & loved beyond measure.
