Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Sanchez Sr. and Eva Sanchez. He is survived by his three brothers: Bill Sanchez Sr. of Olton, Jamie Sanchez and his wife Emily of Richwood, and Tony Sanchez and his wife Gracie of Freeport, Minnesota. He also leaves behind his sister, Mary Sanchez of Amarillo, along with numerous nieces and nephews, including Bill Sanchez Jr. of Olton, Celestino Sanchez of Olton, Antonio Yarbrough of Lubbock, Nick Gonzales of Amarillo, and his niece Mackenzie Sanchez of Lubbock.

Joe will be remembered for his kindness, his love for family, and his infectious laughter, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
