Jodie Marie Pizzo, born on June 22, 1967, peacefully passed away on May 16, 2024. She was born in Lansing, MI, and most recently resided in Rockford, IL.

Jodie was a beloved mother, sister, brother and friend who touched the lives of many with her kind and generous spirit. She will be remembered for her infectious laughter, warm smile, and unwavering love for her family and friends.

Throughout her life, Jodie embraced every opportunity to spread joy and make a positive impact on those around her. She had a deep passion for music and would often be found singing along to her favorite tunes or attending live concerts. Jodie also had an immense love for animals and spent her free time volunteering at local animal shelters, providing care and comfort to furry companions in need.

In her professional life, Jodie was a dedicated educator who spent many years inspiring and guiding young minds. She was known for her patience and creativity, always finding innovative ways to engage her students and make learning enjoyable.

Jodie leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. She is survived by her loving family, including her parents, siblings, and extended relatives, who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

A private family service will be held to celebrate Jodie's life and honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Jodie's favorite animal charity.
