Career
Worked in the Tazewell County School system as a Home Economics teacher, Primary grade teacher, Elementary Supervisor, and started the Special Education program. Pursued a Master of Guidance degree from Radford College and provided Tazewell County with the first Elementary School Guidance Program
Marriage
Married Jack Witten Cecil on June 4, 1951
Children
Had three children: Jack Witten Cecil, Jr., Patty Gail, and Candace Cecil Spessard
Hobbies
Enjoyed hosting bridge parties, reading, dancing, and playing golf
Survivors
Survived by three children, nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews
Legacy
Remembered as a wife, mother, teacher, counselor, and friend
