Joanne Smith was called home to eternal rest on Sunday, February 16, 2025 Joanne was born the second child on July 30,1955 to the late Garland and Mary Lee Smith who she preceded in death. Joanne was brought home from the hospital in Franklin, VA to Emporia VA. Where she was raised. She grew up in the church of God in Christ and at very young age, she gave her life to Christ where she  attended Saint Paul church in Emporia  and loved singing in the choir Joanne was educated in Greenville county training school during the segregation and then transfer to Emporia elementary  public school where she made long life, friends and memories, Joanne left  Emporia in 1969 moved to Brooklyn, New York to be with her mother and sister after settling in Brooklyn, she attended Berrimah Jr. High School continuing her education. Joanne was a devoted mother to her two children Antwan and Tamika and a grandchildren Moo and Stinkah great grandchild Kai Kai, Joanne brought laughter and joy to all that who knew her. In her free time Joanne Love doing Word puzzles and watching her favorite wrestling matches. although we deeply miss Joanne infactious smile and sense of humor, We comfort in knowing that she is now at peace.
