Joanne Cecelia Ream, born on March 17, 1964, in Holyoke, MA, passed away on September 3, 2024, in Cedar Hill, TX. Joanne, affectionately known as "Lil Bit," was a beloved matriarch who dedicated her life to her family, taking immense pride in her children and grandchildren.
Joanne is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Don Ream, and her son, James “Val” Cote, daughters Jamie Rakow and Jackie Ream-Oles, as well as her stepdaughter Alona Yurchak. She was a proud grandmother to Erlinstar Gray, Weston Pearson, Ayden Foster (Cote), Robert Deering and Jeremiah Ream-Walker, among others she had taken in throughout the years.
She is also survived by her sister and brothers.
Joanne is now reunited in heaven with her grandsons Andrew and Xander, and granddaughter Isis. Her Best friend Rhonda Douthitt and her Mother Nancy Anderson as well as her twin.
A woman of many passions, Joanne enjoyed playing darts, bingo, and pool, and frequently visited Winstar. She was known for her love of horror and Disney movies, and her amazing cooking skills. As the captain of her own dart team, she was an active member of the Arlington soft tip darts community and the Moose Lodge.
Joanne had a special fondness for butterflies and was a Saint Patrick’s Day baby, which only added to her vibrant personality. Her favorite musical artists included Toby Keith, Reba, Alan Jackson, and Nickelback.
Joanne will be greatly missed by her family and friends, who will forever cherish her memory as an amazing Nana, Mom ,wife and friend.
