Joann was a kind-hearted individual who found immense joy in spending time with her family. She cherished family cookouts and delighted in watching her favorite westerns together with her loved ones. Her warm and generous nature endeared her to all who knew her.

Joann's proudest accomplishments centered around her role as a grandmother. She adored her grandchildren - Letrail Hamlet, Melissa Cato, Antania Smith, and Leonard Hamlet - and found great joy in watching them grow and thrive. In addition to her grandchildren, Joann was also blessed with a host of great-grandchildren.
Joann is survived by her three children, Robert Smith, Tinna Smith, and Anthony Smith, as well as her loving spouse, James Taylor. Together, they created a strong and loving family unit.
