Joan Mary Leipert, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on July 3, 2024, at the age of 83. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, on June 21, 1941, and most recently resided in Richmond, VA.

Joan was a woman of many passions and talents. In the 70s, she discovered her love for ceramics, spending countless hours immersed in this creative hobby. However, her true joy in life came from her family. Joan adored her four daughters, Joanie, Terry, Jackie, and Maria, as well as her brother Sam and her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A devoted fan of western TV shows, Joan could often be found watching her favorite shows, finding comfort and entertainment in the stories they brought to life. Professionally, Joan's most notable achievement was being the best mom anyone could ask for. Her love, support, and strength made her an irreplaceable presence in the lives of her children and grandchildren.

Joan's impact extended beyond her immediate family. She had a caring and empathetic heart, feeling deeply for others, even those she did not know personally. If someone was hurting, Joan would shed tears for them, demonstrating her genuine compassion and empathy.

Joan held strong religious beliefs and was a faithful Lutheran. Her spirituality provided her with guidance and solace throughout her life.
