Jo Ann Steinmetz, fondly known as Jo, was born on October 11, 1956, in Reading, Pennsylvania, and most recently resided in Myerstown, Pennsylvania. Jo had a successful career in medical practice administration, where her dedication and professionalism were widely recognized. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Albright College and attended both Northeast Junior High School in Reading, PA and Hamburg High School in Hamburg, PA.
Jo was married to Paul Steinmetz and was previously married to Bill Knabb, who passed away in November 1998. She was a loving stepmother to Matthew, Gregory, and Kate Steinmetz, and cherished her role as a grandmother to Benjamin and Cole Steinmetz.
She is survived by her four siblings: Jackie Black, Connie Himmelberger, Billy Jean Wagner, and Carol Wenrich. Jo was known for her caring and outgoing personality, always driven to succeed in her career while giving back to the community. After her retirement, she volunteered at a local senior center, assisting senior citizens with insurance matters, and served as the township auditor.
A devoted animal lover, Jo had a special bond with her cats, Olivia and Hannah. She was an active member of Mary Gate of Heaven Catholic Church in Myerstown, where she found spiritual comfort and community.
Jo Ann Steinmetz will be remembered for her kindness, her impact on the lives of those around her, and her unwavering commitment to her family and community.
