Jimmy Ray Beard

Jimmy Ray Beard, age 74, of Strawberry Plains Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 02, 2024 surrounded by family and loved ones. Born on August 04, 1949 in Geraldine, Alabama. Jimmy was raised in Aniston, Alabama, he was the son of Deloris McDowell and Marion Beard. He attended Walter Wellborn High School and graduated with the class of 1967.

Jimmy was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by children Matthew Beard, Kris Beard, Leandra Hackler and grandchildren Makaylea McGlinsey, Emily Beard, Sierra Carr, and Savannah Carr. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Professionally, Jimmy dedicated multiple years to truck driving, where he made a significant impact and was highly respected by his colleagues and peers. His work ethic and dedication were unmatched, and he took great pride in his contributions to Calhoun County.

Beyond his professional achievements, Jimmy was a pillar of the community. He was a valued member of Living Waters Baptist Church in Dandridge, always willing to lend a helping hand and make a difference in the lives of others. His legacy of service and compassion will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jimmy often enjoyed looking at hot rods, telling funny jokes, the company of family and friends, and going to church. He was known for his love of Alabama, his dedication to his family, and his infectious laugh. He had a passion for making pictures/picture frames to give out to everyone, and he spent countless hours doing so. He will be remembered for his empathy, kindness, honesty, resilience, patience, and generosity.

Jimmy Ray Beard will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever. His memory will be a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.
