Jimmy Marbury, born on April 17, 1947, in Chattanooga, TN, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025, in Atlanta, GA. Known affectionately as “The Corn Man” in Idlewild, MI, Jimmy was a beloved figure in his community, recognized for his vibrant personality and generous spirit.

A true “Jack-of-all-trades,” Jimmy was adept at a multitude of skills, making him a cherished friend and neighbor. His laughter and bright smile were infectious, drawing everyone around him. He relished spending time with his family, especially his son, Jimmy Charles, whom he affectionately referred to as the Robin to his Batman, as well as his daughter, Gina, and his grandchildren. Jimmy took immense joy in teaching them life lessons and sharing his abundant knowledge.

Proud of his residence in Idlewild, he actively participated in local festivals and served as the President of the Idlewild African American Chamber of Commerce. The beautiful lake views from his home held a special place in his heart.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Alice, his daughter Gina, and his grandsons. His legacy of kindness, community service, and an unwavering love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
