Jimmy Loftis, born on April 3, 1949, in Detroit, MI, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024. He was a devoted husband to Linda Francis for 30 years and a loving father to his children, Cheryl Lorenzo, Tracy Alam, and Jimmy Loftis. Jimmy found immense joy in his role as a grandfather to his eight grandchildren: Savannah Loftis, Hannah Alam, Shofiul Alam, Aneel Alam, Antonio Loftis, Sergio Lorenzo, Roberto Sanchez, and Jorge Lorenzo.
A proud veteran, Jimmy served in the Army for ten years and cherished his accomplishment of twenty years of sobriety. He was known for his skills as a handyman and carpenter, always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing with his grandsons, Jorge and Sergio, at Elizabeth Park in Wyandotte.
Jimmy had a passion for Armandos Authentic Mexican restaurant, often sharing meals with loved ones. He lived by the motto "Seize the day," reminding those around him to embrace every moment. A faithful Baptist, he found comfort in his faith throughout his life.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Linda, Daughter Cheryl and his Grandson Sergio, who will all miss him dearly. His warmth, laughter, and love will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
